Return Policy

Warranty Coverage

Warranty coverage includes any product which, when installed on a vehicle or system, is found to be defective within the period covered by limited warranty and are subject to terms of the Warranty Policy.

Warranty coverage also includes any product, which is found to be defective when unpacked from the original container in which it was shipped. This does not include shipping damage (See Shipping Damage). 

Texas Truck A/C, Inc. warrants product to be free from defects in material or workmanship for a period of 1 year from date of sale to the first purchaser unless otherwise indicated. Ultimate responsibility of product warranty and length or term of warranty lies with each manufacturer, and therefore all manufacturers’ warranties will prevail against returns. All returned product is subject to inspection and verification of warranty conditions and policies before credit will be issued. Electrical products are warranted for 30 days from the date of installation unless otherwise specified by the manufacturer.

It is the responsibility of the customer to insure correct installation of all Texas Truck A/C, Inc. products in accordance with the Original Equipment Manufacturers’ instructions and policies. 

Shipping Damage

Visible and concealed damage is not covered under warranty. Customers who choose to charge freight to their own account must submit a claim to the freight carrier in accordance with their procedures for reimbursement. Customers who choose to have Texas Truck A/C prepay and/or add freight charges to the invoice must take detailed pictures of the damaged boxes/products, and write a detailed description of the damages. Note: Shipping damage that occurs with an LTL shipment must be notated on the freight bill at the time of delivery for a claim to be processed. Once these required steps are complete, all information and images must be emailed to partsclerk@texastruckac.com and the claims process will begin.Additionally, freight damage insurance protection of all product shipments is the responsibility of the customer. Please notify your Customer Service Representative at the time order is placed and notate in writing the request for additional insurance.

Incidental Return

Customers who order an incorrect product will be allowed to return those products under the normal return procedures. All unused, unopened, and uninstalled products can be returned within 30 days of purchase date. Special ordered products are non-returnable. Returns received after 30 days of purchase date will not be accepted. All products must be in original packaging and in salable condition. A 20% handling/restocking charge will be applied to all products not meeting these requirements. Freight charges and Insurance for returned products are the customer’s responsibility.  

Defective Return

Texas Truck A/C, Inc. reserves the right to conduct a review and inspection of each warranty claim and to accept or deny any claims not meeting Texas Truck A/C, Inc.’s or the manufacturer’s requirements for warranty. Texas Truck A/C, Inc. will not warranty products, which it did not sell, have been abused, mishandled, altered or used inappropriately. Freight charges and Insurance for returned products are the customer’s responsibility. All incidental or inconvenience costs will not be paid by Texas Truck A/C, Inc. for any reason. NO labor or refrigerant allowance whatsoever will be paid on any individual Texas Truck A/C, Inc. product sales.

Return Procedures

Texas Truck AC, Inc.’s customers must initiate return procedures by completing the “Returns Materials Authorization” (RMA) request form. All return requests must be submitted via e-mail at partsclerk@texastruckac.com or faxed to 972.289.7772 attention parts department. After receiving the request, an RMA number or denial letter will be emailed to you, the customer. All documentation and cartons must contain the RMA number, if not the product may be returned at the customer’s expense. A copy of the RMA form must be used as a packing slip and accompany the shipment. 

Freight charges for returned products are the responsibility of the customer and must be returned “Freight Prepaid”. Any product being returned by any means other than freight prepaid will be refused by Texas Truck A/C, Inc.

Returns will only be accepted at Texas Truck A/C, Inc., 4701 Cleveland Rd., Dallas, Texas 75241.

All incidental products returned must be in original packaging and in salable condition. A 20% handling/restocking charge will be applied to all products not meeting these requirements.   

Returns will not be allowed for special order product and/or merchandise not purchased from Texas Truck A/C, Inc.

All credits on returned product will be applied to account balance only. No checks will be issued for a credit balance. Customers will only receive credit based on the original invoiced prices for items approved for return. 

Product returned must be in salable condition. That is, product must be returned in approved shipping boxes, packed properly to prevent damage, carry an identifiable Texas Truck A/C, Inc. part number, and be in original cartons. Testing may be required before credit can be issued. Customers will be contacted by Texas Truck A/C, Inc. if any product is ineligible for credit or if any discrepancies arise. The customer must make a decision within 30 days whether or not to have ineligible product returned “Freight Collect”. Ineligible product will be held for no more than 30 days and then scrapped.

Product claims will be rejected if:

  1. The incidental return is received back after the 30th day from purchase date.

  2. The product is inspected and no manufacturing defects are found.

  3. The product is damaged due to improper installation, abuse, misuse, contamination, improper removal, defacement.

  4. The product is not manufactured or furnished by Texas Truck A/C, Inc.

  5. The claim is over 60 days old from the date RMA was issued.

  6. The product is returned without proper authorization.

  7. Any of the following products are returned to Texas Truck A/C, Inc. without shipping/sealing caps/plates in place and properly packaged before shipment: Compressors, Evaporator, Heater Cores, Condensers, Driers, Accumulators, or Expansion Valves.

Parts and Units Limited Warranty


 

TEXAS TRUCK A/C offers the following limited warranty on heavy duty heating and air conditioning parts and units, subject to the conditions listed below. There are no other warranties implied.

Texas Truck A/C Inc warrants parts and units to be free from defects in material or workmanship for a period of 1 year from date of sale to the first purchaser unless otherwise indicated. Ultimate responsibility of warranty and length or term of warranty lies with each manufacturer, and therefore all manufacturers’ warranties will prevail. In the event that a defect is discovered during the warranty period, Texas Truck A/C Inc agrees that, at its option, it will repair, replace or credit the defective part, when proper warranty filing procedures have been followed. Any part or unit repaired or replaced under this warranty will be warranted only for the remainder of the original warranty period. There is no labor allowance given on parts or units. This warranty does not cover any expenses incurred in the removal and/or reinstallation of the heating/air conditioning part or unit. Specifically, this warranty does not cover any expenses for consumable products such as chemicals or oils, other parts not purchased from Texas Truck A/C Inc, or labor. This warranty is offered only to the original purchaser of the parts. This warranty does not apply, and will be voided, if the heating/air conditioning part(s) and/or unit(s) sold has/have been damaged by abuse, misuse, accident, neglect, or alteration, or if it has been repaired by anyone other than Texas Truck A/C Inc. or an approved professional.

THE EXPRESS WARRANTY SET FORTH ABOVE IS EXCLUSIVE AND NO OTHER WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER STATUTORY, ORAL, WRITTEN, EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE SHALL APPLY. THERE ARE NO WARRANTIES WHICH EXTEND BEYOND THE DESCRIPTION ON THE FACE HEREOF. THE CONSUMERS EXCLUSIVE REMEDIES FOR BREACH OF WARRANTY AND TEXAS TRUCK A/C, INC’S ONLY OBLIGATION ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH BREACH OF WARRANTY, SHALL BE THOSE STATED HEREIN. TEXAS TRUCK A/C, INC EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS LIABILITY FOR INCIDENTAL AND CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES CAUSED BY THE PART(S) AND/OR UNIT(S) SOLD. 

This warranty gives you specific rights, and you may also have other rights, which vary from state to state. In addition, some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, and some do not allow the exclusion of limitations of incidental or consequential damages. Accordingly, limitations as to these matters contained herein may not apply to you.

This warranty does not apply to compressors unless the installation procedures provided by Texas Truck A/C Inc, are followed in their entirety. See Compressor Limited Warranty.

Compressor Limited Warranty


 

Texas Truck AC Inc. warrants compressors to be free from defects in material or workmanship for a period of 1 year from date of sale to the first purchaser unless otherwise indicated. Ultimate responsibility of warranty and length or term of warranty lies with each manufacturer, and therefore all manufacturers’ warranties will prevail. This limited warranty does not include any labor allowance and does not cover related parts not furnished by Texas Truck AC Inc. Related parts include drier/accumulator, expansion valve/orifice tube, condenser, and clutch. This limited warranty does not cover compressors that have been altered, abused, misused or chemically damaged. 

A licensed air conditioning technician must install the a/c compressor and all related parts. Some new and remanufactured compressors do not contain oil. Installer must drain, measure, and refill oil to insure proper amount. If unsure of the oil type, discard and add correct amount and type (refer to OEM or compressor manufacturer’s specifications). Texas Truck AC Inc. is not responsible for damages to any part of the air conditioning system caused by improper installation of compressor.   

Also for warranty to be considered a repair order must accompany the compressor, stating that the following procedures were performed:

  • Flushed a/c system with a non-residue liquid flush and approved flushing system.

  • Replaced the accumulator or receiver drier.

  • Replaced the expansion device (orifice tube, liquid line containing the orifice tube, peanut valve, or block valve).

  • Replaced the condenser (multi flow or serpentine style) if catastrophic compressor failure occurred. 

  • Inspected compressor clutch for proper air gap before installation (refer to OEM or compressor manufacturer’s specifications).

  • Used only approved oil (PAG or ester oil for R134a and mineral oil for R12) and proper amount for the system (refer to OEM or compressor manufacturer’s specifications). 

  • Rotated clutch hub ten full turns after compressor installation complete.

  • Inspected compressor drive belt for proper adjustment and/or wear and repaired as needed.

  • Inspected evaporator for proper airflow and repaired if needed.

  • Inspected condenser, radiator, and charge air cooler for proper airflow and repaired as needed.

  • Inspected a/c system for leaks using nitrogen and repaired as needed.

  • Evacuated a/c system for a minimum of 45 minutes and/or 1000 microns.

  • Charged a/c system with proper refrigerant (R134a or R12) and proper amount (refer to vehicle specifications).

  • Inspected fan clutch or electric fan assemblies for proper operation and replaced if needed.

  • Inspected compressor clutch electrical circuit for proper voltage and repaired if needed.

  • Inspected all pressure switches for proper operation and replaced if needed.
