Road Technician

Position Overview:

Installs, diagnoses, and repairs mobile air conditioning systems and APU’s on truck, bus, and off-road equipment in a timely and professional manner.

 

Requirements:

• 5 years’ experience

• Have and maintain necessary tools to complete needed repairs on mobile air conditioning systems and APU’s

• Obtain and keep all company required licenses and certifications (i.e. section 609 certification)

• Valid Texas driver’s license

Job Duties:

• Give support to supervisor with regards to accomplishing tasks as a team

• Follow all policies and procedures set forth by company

• Follow all safety procedures at facility and jobsites before, during, and after repairs

• Maintain truck cleanliness inside and out

• Perform daily vehicle pre-trip inspection before leaving facility

• Maintain truck inventory

• Communicate with customers in a professional manner

• Perform inspection and diagnose problems on mobile air conditioning systems and APU’s in a timely and professional manner

• Use electronic tablets and type out repair orders/estimates

• Perform electrical, mechanical, and/or other repairs needed on mobile air conditioning systems and APU’s in a timely and professional manner

• Perform custom installation of various aftermarket air conditioning units

• Assist other technicians in completing jobs as needed

• Assist in the maintenance and repair of service truck, equipment, and other items as needed
